Reese’s Power Cups for Breakfast!

2 tbsp Almond Butter

1 scoop Prograde vanilla protein powder

1 heaping tbsp raw cocoa powder (a superfood! I got the brand Navitas Naturals from Wegmans)

About 1 cup of Almond Breeze Almond Milk (original, unsweetened)

1 squeeze of flax seed oil for a dose of Omega-3!

A few ice cubes

Blend to creamy perfection! Delicious, nutritious, tastes almost sinful :)

Raspberry-Chocolate Swirl

1 cup frozen organic raspberries

1 heaping tbsp raw cocoa powder

1 scoop Prograde vanilla protein powder

About 1 cup almond milk

A little water to the perfect consistency of your liking!

Blend to taste the power of chocolate and raspberries!

The Green Monster

Handful frozen organic spinach (no, you can’t taste it, but man is it good for you!)

Large handful of frozen raspberries

Squeeze of flax oil

1 scoop PlantFusion vanilla protein powder (I buy it at Black Forest Acres health food store)

About 1 cup almond milk

Coconut Bliss

Thanks to BP FitPro Julie I’ve discovered the bliss of fresh baby coconut! Many of you may have read the recent “media blitz” about the benefits of coconut water (especially post-workout). The health benefits of coconuts have long-time been know (think about the life-expectancy of many of the cultures who have coconut as a central part of their diets!). Coconut oil, the flesh and coconut milk all have fantastic health properties too long to go into here. But this was definitely a delicious get-read-for-summer shake!(p.s. your kids will love this too)

Water from a baby coconut (you can find these at many vegetable stores or asian/latino markets)

Flesh from the coconut

[If you don't have a coconut on hand, you can use low- or no-sugar coconut water or coconut milk - most now found at many major stores]

Frozen raspberries

Frozen mango

Scoop of Plantfusion protein

A little almond milk and/or plain water for consistency.

Put an umbrella in it and start the day the right way! :)

Mexican Chocolate Sizzle

1-2 TBSP raw cocao

1 scoop Prograde vanilla protein powder

1/2 tsp (approx) of ground cinnamon

1 squeeze of flax seed oil for a dose of Omega-3!

Almond milk (and water, to consistency)

Ice

Cafe Mocha-licious (by request for those “fru-fru coffee-drink lovers!”)

1-2 TBSP raw cocao

1 scoop Prograde vanilla protein powder

1/2 cup coffee, 1-2 shots of espresso, or you can just put a small spoonful of coffee or espresso grinds

Almond milk (or low-fat milk)

You can add cinnamon or vanilla extract for some extra flavor!

Ice

BEST substitute for those summer coffee drinks that will run you more than 5 bucks a pop!

Purple Haze

2 tbsp flax meal (great source of Omega-3 and fiber!)

1 scoop Prograde vanilla protein powder

1 cup (or so) of frozen berry mix (I used Trader Joe’s Cherry Berry Mix – delicious!)

Coconut water (about 1/4 cup)

Almond milk and water to consistency
