Last Week I was Funked Up…but I’m over it!
If you didn’t get a chance to read my email I sent Monday…
I told you that I would email you again on Sunday to be sure that
the person you are this Sunday afternoon is the person you promised
you would be on Monday morning.
Monday morning we promise ourselves that we’ll
“get back on track;” but by the end of the week…
where did that track lead you?
Here’s the jist of what I sent Monday:
It’s Monday morning.
Imagine the person you’ll be at the end of the week.
Will you be proud of the decisions you’ve made, the goals you’ve set and accomplished?
Will you have exercised with purpose?
Eaten deliciously and healthfully?
Spent time with those you love?
Taken time for self-love?
Will you be happy with the person you are or frustrated by
another week gone by without being the best version of yourself?
The best part is: it’s all up to you – no one else!!!
******
“Funks” are bound to happen. That’s life. Do you accept this?
What gives you character and defines who you are is
how you climb out of those deep, dark places.
If you were in a funk or faced any challenges this week:
Did you try to go it alone?
Or did you rally your strongest supporters, coaches, friends and family to help you?
Did you just going through the motions?
Or did you take action on your goals and do all things with purpose?
Were you just “being”?
Or did you strive to be the absolute best version of yourself?
Are you proud of yourself for committing to your workouts,
making good food choices to nourish and energize your body?
Or are you kicking yourself today for “not having willpower”
and taking the easy way out with excuses of “next week” I’ll start?
Are you feeling fulfilled because you spent
quality time with those you love, including yourself?
Or are you empty and sad because you spent more time on other “stuff.”
We can’t go it alone…we need people around us to lift us up.
When I need to get out of a funk I turn to my husband, my mom, my coaches and mentors
(yes…even coaches need coaches!) and I surround myself with people who will lift me up,
no wallow in their own funk to bring me down even further.
Who do you turn to? Do you have a support system who
can help you be the best version of yourself?
If not, seek it out…you’ll find it!
That’s my mission with Body Project – to offer you a support system of kick-a$$ women
who all share the same challenges, frustrations, victories and successes.
Promise yourself that you will be the best version of yourself this week…and every week.
Here to lift you up…
Lindsay
