Lindsay’s Picks

My Nutritional & Diet Supplement Picks

This is what I personally include in my nutrition, but keep in mind that you may have different needs, my personal goal is to maintain my overall health and maintain the fat-burning muscle I work so hard to get! Remember to do your homework before blindly buying any supplement, and discuss with your doctor before incorporating any supplements into your routine (and trust me…I’ve seen a lot of companies out there promote every pill imaginable…and do you really trust the teenager at the major supplement chains to tell you what’s good for you?)

The only daily supplement I take is Essential Fatty Acids (Omega-3), essential fatty acids have been shown in several studies to promote fat loss, aid in joint mobility, support heart health, helps with PMS symptoms, and many other positive benefits.

I drink this vanilla whey protein powder with a little orange juice or other juice for my pre- and post-workout shake (I drink it on my way to my workout, sip on it during my workout along with water, and then finish after immediately my workout). Whey protein is critical supplement to increase fat-burning during your workouts plus it’s often a lot more convenient and economical to drink your instead of eat and it absorbs quickly. This is by far the best-tasting protein I’ve tried. And this has no artificial sweeteners (which give me headaches) but uses stevia, a safe, natural sweetener (Note: I try never to use shakes to replace a meal, unless I’m travelling or pressed for time)

Immediately before or after my workout, I take BCAAs (Branch Chain Amino Acids). These are proteins that your body must consume through food or supplements, and are critical in maintaining lean muscle, decreasing body fat, and also helps with recovery to ease that “post-workout soreness.”

Best Bread
Read my blog post here about the important info you need to know about choosing bread. Most mainstream grocery stores sell this in their freezer section. You can keep it frozen and just use what you need.  Try their cinnamon raisin…yum!
